A high premium means minting costs more up front than buying for the same capacity.
Spot parity only answers: “Is mint cheaper than market right now in spot dollars?” It does not by itself answer “should I mint?”
Also weigh: how long you need capacity, whether you already hold VVV, whether you’ll keep DIEM or might sell it, and unlock/buyback complexity if you sell minted DIEM.
